Patent Engineer
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all patent affairs of Midea German Research Center and coordinating with Midea product divisions in China according to instruction from Midea Group Intellectual Property Center.
Responsible for German/European patent prosecution and portfolio management, including searching prior art, drafting, reviewing and revising patent application documents and O.A. response documents, and instructing outside counsel, e.g., law firms or patent agencies, to complete relevant work.
Responsible for assisting in German/European patent risk prevention, patent invalidation, patent licensing, patent analysis, FTO, and etc..
Responsible for formulation and optimization of German/European patent-related processes, standards, and systems.
Responsible for other German/European patent related work.
YOUR PROFILE
Master's degree or higher in science and engineering relating to Midea's business, (excellent candidates with bachelor's degree could also be considered); education background in German/European law school or engineering school is preferred
More than five years of German/European patent practice experience, familiar with key issues and processes of German/European patents; German/European patent bar/qualification is preferred; German/European local patent working experience is preferred
Independently finished drafting more than 30 German/European patent applications, and independently finished responding to more than 50 German/European patent O.A.; experience relating to German/European patent risk prevention, patent invalidation, patent licensing, patent analysis, and FTO is preferred
Chinese and German/English as working languages
Proactively, self-motivated, good teamwork spirit.
