• Daily maintenance and operation of network devices in China Telecom EMEA POPs, mainly Frankfurt. The network devices include CT global IP backbone, SDH/DWDM Sino-Europe backbone and Voice Switching equipment.
• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer's hardware and software.
• Maintain and update Operation Plan and other operational procedures, service availability report, traffic management reports and service improvement solutions.
• Monitor network stability, availability and performance. Ensuring 24x7x365 operation of internal and client systems. Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems as needed.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
• Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
• Manage and maintain office IT network, systems and applications.
• Some business travels are required.
Required Skills and Experiences
• University graduate holder on Telecommunications or relevant areas
• CCNA / CCNP or equivalent certified
• Hands-on experience implementing and administrating network devices
• 3+ years of network administration mandatory
• Knowledge about VPN technologies (IPsec, MPLS)
• Knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP
• Excellent troubleshooting experience
• Very Familiar with SDH, DWDM optical transmission equipment (Huawei OSN)andother related IP products (Cisco or Juniper)
• Proficiency in both Chinese and German or English
