The University is currently seeking a highly-motivated and experienced professional to work in the Recruitment Team. Based in the West End of London within the Communications, Recruitment and External Affairs Department, you will have demonstrable experience in the international Higher Education sector, preferably directly employed by a UK university or higher education provider.
Primary areas of responsibility will include student recruitment, regional stakeholder development and management, and managing the delivery of localised marketing activity. Candidates should be able to demonstrate initiative as well as experience, strong organisational skills and a data-driven approach to planning and implementation. An innovative approach to promoting the University overseas is desirable as is familiarity with the Chinese digital landscape and university admissions and CRM systems.
You will play a key role in developing, maintaining and leading on relations with partners in the region, including institutions and agents as well as operational management of 2 staff based in Beijing through our partnership with GROK education services. The post holder will be expected to provide professional advice and guidance to the DVC Global Engagement and other senior internal stakeholders on commercial and quality assurance issues relating to the development and implementation of the University’s strategic objectives in the region.
Candidates should have a strong track record of navigating and understanding cultural and business etiquette for the East Asia region and be able to commit to spending considerable time overseas.
Candidates are also required to have a high level of fluency in both spoken and written Mandarin.
