The British Council is welcoming applications from experienced TEFL professionals in China for roles as full-time IELTS Speaking Examiners.

Minimum Professional Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree or above

A qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language

At least 3 years’ full-time experience teaching EFL to students aged 16 or over (or the equivalent in part-time teaching experience)

Demonstrable professional attributes and interpersonal skills

IELTS Speaking Examiners must be expert users of English (the equivalent of an IELTS Band 9 in Speaking and a minimum of Band 8 in Reading, Listening and Writing)

Other Requirement

A willingness to move to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou or Chongqing from current location in China
